Srichakra and Dattatreya connection
Sri chakra or Sri yantra is a mystical diagram prominent in the Srividya school of Hinduism. It is the blueprint of Paramatma or universal consciousness. Its worship transcends a devotee from Dwaita (theology where God and individual soul are considered as separate) to Adwaita (nonduality where God and individual souls are considered as one).
Sri Yantra comprises of 4 upward triangles signifying Shiva (masculine energy or Purusha) and 5 downward triangles signifying Shakti (feminine energy or Prakriti) which interlock depicting the union of Shiva and Shakti at Bindu which depicts Nirguna Nirakara Parabrahman divine consciousness (Genderless, formless, attribute less universal consciousness), the ultimate state of Adwaita. Therefore, Sriyantra Sadhana gives both materialistic and spiritual abundance which is considered apt for householders. Sri yantra is an incredible part of Sri Lalithambika Rajarajeshwari Maha Tripura Sundari’s, who is one of the Dasa Mahavidyas (10 incantations of divine mother), worship and Srividya tradition.
Lord Dattatreya, is also the union of masculine and feminine energies. All the goddesses and their powers are on the left side of his body and on the right are all the Gods. Therefore, Swami Dattatreya along with his divine consort Anagha devi is Sriyantra in themselves, representing universal consciousness or Prabrahma. Without form we cannot conceive the formless and therefore in Kali yuga he has incarnated on this earth in the form of Sreepada Srivallabha. Sree Guru Datta Swami’s idol in Srichakra data Sree pada Sree sai peedam depicts this concept by displaying Sriyantra at Guru’s heart centre.
Srichakra has powerful, divine vibrations and is studied widely around the world for the impact it has on the surroundings. It is not to be forgotten that Sriyantra has much deeper and profound powers than what meets the eye – healing properties, balancing energies, eradicating vastu doshas, clearing individual blockages to ensure abundant flow of wealth and prosperity, enhanced psychic abilities, protection from dangers etc.
One crore and eight Sriyantra Sthapana at dhayna mandap at Srichakra data Sree pada Sree sai peedam will therefore increase the divine vibrations of the world, protecting it during transition from Kali yuga to Sathya yuga.
