Kanchipuram is an ancient city in Tamil Nadu revered for its magnificent temples. It is considered to be one of the seven Tirtha (pilgrimage sites) for Moksha (liberation) in Sanatana Dharma. Kanchi Kamakshi Amman Shakti Peetham is known as Nabhi peetham (naval point of the universe) and is a significant centre of Shaktism and Srividya sadhana. Bestower of all boons and Divine mother of all creations, Ma Kamakshi, is Kanchipuram’s presiding deity.
Sri Pada Vallabha is the masculine avatar of Maa Kamashi who incarnated in 1306 to uplift the Dharma and remove pain and sufferings of his devotees. He chose this sacred place, Melsirunai Kanchipuram, for establishing the World Protection centre from where the spiritual journey of his devotees will commence towards the Satya yuga.
Mataji Vallabh Anandamayi streamlined the surroundings of the Melsirunai village at Kanchipuram for the construction of the Sree Chakra Datta Sree Pada Vallabha Sai Peedam and undertook maintenance of the premises. Sreepada Sree Vallabha Trust was formed on 21.05.2015 by Mataji Vallabhanandamayia and has been functioning successfully since then.
Several Charitable activities are undertaken by the Trust and accomplished successfully, like annadanam, educational assistance to the poor, help to destitute elderly persons, physically challenged and visually challenged individuals, poor and needy people, etc.
Mataji by the divine grace of Sreepada Sree Vallabha received padukas of Swami Samarth Maharaj, Dattatreya Swami, Narasimha Saraswati Maharaj, Manik Prabhu Maharaj, Gajanan Maharaj from respective Sansthans in a span of 21 days and the same is consecrated in the temple.
Functions organized at the Melsirunai Kanchipuram Temple
- On 17.07.2018, the Holy Padukas were installed.
- On 28.10.2018, Bhoomi Pooja was performed to commence construction of the temple.
- On 02.02.2019, 3 feet tall marble idols of Lord Sripada Sree Vallabha, Sri Dattatreya, and Sri Saibaba arrived at Kanchipuram, Melsirunai village. Their arrival brought about great blessedness to the soil and to all of us.
- On 13.02.2019, the construction of temples for Sripada Sree Vallabha and Sri Akshayalingeshwarar commenced.
- A very astonishing aspect of this temple’s completion is that it was constructed in a record time of one year and about four months from the date of Bhoomi Pooja (28.10.2018). Thus, the most unique and powerful temple of SriChakra Datta Sripada Sri Sai and Sri Lalithambika idol, Sri Akshayalingeshwarar were consecrated on 12.02.2020.
Mataji Vallabhanandamayi accomplished this task solely with the guidance and grace of Lord Sreepada. The divine plan included cost of the following;
1.3 feet tall marble idols of Lord Datta, LordSreepada, Lord Sai, Sreepada’s Padukas, Idols of Akshayalingeshwarar, Lord Vinayaga, Lord Murugan, Ambaal, Mata Saraswati, Durga Maa, and Nagathammal, road construction from main road to temple and Kumbabhishekam expenses.
The total expenditure incurred towards all the above including cost of construction went up to Rs. 24.50 lakhs which was beyond the initial estimated budget of 10 lakhs.
However, Sreepada Sree Vallabha had his own calculations and plans. He arranged funds
miraculously through his devotees and enabled the consecration of the temple on the stipulated day. Thus, a humanly impossible task was managed by Sreepada himself by sending people and help in unexpected ways.
With the cooperation of all his devotees and the villagers of Melsirunai village, a first of its kind temple of Sreepada was constructed in Tamil Nadu, and he stood there tall showering his grace and blessings on all of us.
Lord Akshayalingeshwarar in Melsirunai
As per Divine ordain and testimony through dream visions of Maha Periyava of Kanchipuram and Sreepada Sree Vallabha, Mataji Vallabhanandamayi found a 1000-year-old Shiva idol which came to be known as Akshayalingeswara and consecrated and placed it in the temple at Melsirunai, Kanchipuram.
Once upon a time the 1000-year-old Akshayalingeshwarar temple was well known for 3 aspects:
- i) SthalaVriksham (sacred tree of this place) – Parijatham tree ( Pavazhlamalli flowers)
- ii) Theertham – Akshaya Theertham (name8 of the water from the local pond)
iii) Akshaya means – that which is inexhaustible or never depleting.
Due to the grace of the presiding deity Lord Akshaya lingeswara, all benefits derived from the presence of the Lingam are inexhaustible and they are recurring in nature. There will be no dearth of food, money, worldly comforts. The benefits keep flowing and there will always be abundance.
The special features of this temple are:
1) In this temple on the Akshaya Tritiya day, whoever performs Pitru karyam (rituals performed for departed souls of the ancestors which have moved out from Preta loka to Pitru Loka) or does an act of charity or offers donation, shall derive unlimited benefits.
2) Secondly, those who are afflicted by Naga Dosha, shall be relieved of the dosha if they visit this temple.
Having accomplished this mission, Sri Lalitha amma further took another Sankalpa by invoking the blessings of Sreepada to make this temple at Melsirunai as the biggest “Sri Chakra Datta Sreepada Sri Sai Peedam” (Pedestal) for the Satya Yuga and thus continues with her spiritual objective.
May the devotees of Lord Datta, Sadguru Saibaba, and Sreepada Sree Vallabha unite together and offer their unconditional support to Sri Lalitha amma in establishing this splendid divine paedam. Consecration of one crore and eight Sri Yantras and construction of Dhyana Peedam and welcoming Sreepada Sree Vallabha in the form of 16 feet idol are the ongoing projects.
Anybody who would take part in this seva and their families will be blessed for generations
